How to Use Cover in Red Dead Redemption 2
To use cover in Red Dead Redemption 2 you will use the RB/R1 button to hide behind a nearby wall, structure, or object. You can then use the Right Stick to look around while in cover and use the Left Stick to break out of cover. To move around while remaining in cover you can use the X/Square button to transition to the other side of cover or the next available cover.
Using cover is vital to surviving some of the harder and longer gun battles in the game. Just remember that you need to press RB just once to enter into cover and then you can use the sticks to look around or move.
Shooting from cover functions similarly to how it does when you are not in cover. You can also still use your Dead Eye ability while behind cover or use the cover to get some extra time to consume a tonic or food item while being pinned down by gunfire.

When Should You Exit Cover in Red Dead Redemption 2?
Knowing when to come out of cover is as important as knowing how and when to use it. As previously mentioned, the game will throw waves of enemies at you, making taking cover the only way to survive. When you’re in cover, it can be intimidating as your enemies rain down bullets toward your location. Getting the timing down on when to exit cover can be challenging, but it’s all about keeping an eye on your enemies.
Just like you, your opponent needs to reload their guns. Stay in cover as your enemies unload their clips, and when they stop shooting and go to reload, this is when you come out of cover and take aim. If you’re quick enough, you can take out a handful of enemies as they try to reload their guns.
Entering and exiting cover will eventually become second nature as you practice to get the timing down. Just keep reading your opponent’s every move, and you’ll start to see the perfect moment to make your move.

Below you will find items that may spoil parts of the story and can only be gotten once the story is complete. Below we will go over all the rare weapons in Red Dead Redemption 2 and how to find them in the open-world.
Rare Revolvers
The Golden Gun
Otis Miller’s Revolver – Hidden in Cholla Springs at the location in the map above. The weapon is located in a chest inside a cave with a handful of photographs.
Schofield Revolver – The Schofield Revolver can be found by completing one of the robberies of a side business. The doctor in Valentine has is running a side business behind a locked door in the back of the business. Knock on the door or peer in the window behind the building to uncover the side business. Once you’ve discovered the side business you can force the doctor to have them open the locked door. Inside will be a couple of workers and a locked box on the table. The weapon box on the table has the Schofield Revolver.

The Gun that Killed Morgan
Micah’s Revolver – Hidden on Mount Hagen must have completed Epilogue 2. Head to the location in the map above to retrieve Micah’s Revolver. This is the gun that killed Morgan. Though this depends on the choices you made along the way.

Gunslinger Revolvers
These weapons must be picked up immediately after the duels with these characters in the Legendary Gunslinger Missions
- Calloway’s Revolver – Defeat Calloway picked up after killing in duel

Rare Pistols

Rare Shotgun
Rare Shotgun – The Rare Shotgun is located in a hut north of Annesburg if you don’t pick up his gun or he kills you you can’t get it.

Beecher’s Hope is the home of John, Abigail, and Jack Marston (and Uncle) in Red Dead Redemption 2. Once you’ve completed chapter six in the story you will assume the role of John Marston instead of Arthur Morgan. You will purchase the Beecher’s Hope ranch and complete some wrap-up missions in Epilogue Part 1 and Part 2. Once you see the credits roll though, you will have complete access to Marston’s Ranch. Beecher’s Hope will essentially function as the camp did during the first six chapters of the campaign. You will be able to do things like fast travel, you can perform activities at the ranch that will earn you cash, and there might be some other hidden Easter Eggs hidden around. The player can complete different activities at Beecher’s Hope. You can milk cows, feed chickens, clean up animal poop, refill water buckets, and more. Completing all of these activities will give you the ability to stock a wagon full of supplies and then sell them for extra money. Completing these activities will also raise your honor and player stats. You can come back each day to complete these camp activities. Upgrading weapons and guns in Red Dead Redemption is pretty straightforward. All you need to do is head to the nearest gun store, interact with the store worker, and select the customize option. The good news is that finding a gun store is as simple as heading to the nearest town, and the game has a lot of towns to choose from.
Opening up the customize option will allow you to improve your favorite weapons and guns while not costing too much in-game money. Make sure you clean your weapon first at the gunsmith, or else he will refuse to upgrade the firearm for you.

There are two extremely rare horses to find in Red Dead Redemption 2. These two horses can’t be bought or earned through quests like the Serial Killer Mystery locations. The two horses are the Tiger Striped Bay Coat Mustang and The White Coat Arabian.

The specific locations of each of these horses vary and it can take a lot of time to find the rare horses during natural exploration. The red crosshairs are where you should travel in order to start your search.

The Tiger Striped Bay Coat Mustang can only be found in New Austin. Other Mustangs can be found throughout the world, but this one only can be found in one area of the game. Look for this rare horse in the Eastern part of the Rio Bravo Region. To find it, search the bluffs just west of Rio Del Lobo Rock.

Once you spot the horse, you’re going to need to lasso it and then go through the breaking process to actually ride it. You will then need to work on bonding with the horse to get it to its best performance. Though it isn’t a Superior Horse, it is one of the most unique horses in the game.
The Arabian White Coat Location
The Arabian White Coat is a pretty horse. All white, this horse can be found up in Grizzlies West on the Western banks of Lake Isabella. This gorgeous horse is hard to find but easy to spot as it is all white. Just like any other wild horse, to catch it, you need to lasso it before it tries to get away and then start the breaking process to make it your own.

Step 3: Build the Furnance
You can build the Furnace by using 8 Cobblestone blocks in the crafting menu. Every block should be filled except the middle one to craft the Furnace.
Step 4: Use Furnace to Turn Cobblestone into Stone
Once you’ve got your furnace built you’re going to need something to put into it. Coal is a good source of energy for the furnace and it’s abundant so we’ll use the coal that we found above and put it into the bottom slot of the furnace. In the top slot you’re going to want to put your Cobblestone that you have left over. Once you put both items in the furnace you will see that the flames are burning and that signals that the Cobblestone is being turned into Stone.
Step 5: Use Furnace Again to Turn Stone into Smooth Stone
To get Smooth Stone you actually have to take this a step further and repeat the exact same process. You’ll take the Stone that you create in your first run with the furnace and then add coal and the result will be Smooth Stone. The second part is getting the key. The easiest way to do this is from the Debate Parlor Site of Grace. You can simply fast travel here if already unlocked. When going out to the courtyard you’ll want to head left up to the broken staircase and then up the second flight of stairs past the sorcerers. Instead of heading straight through the building hook another left and jump over the railing to find two more sorcerers. You can easily run past these two and then to the left where you’ll need to jump over the railing. As you move past the skeleton warriors you’ll come to a ladder which will take you up to a walkway with three small fighters and a sorcerer. Again, you can run past these four enemies and then stay to the right and go around the corner and then jump off on to the building below. From there you’ll see two more skeleton warriors below, head towards the one on the right and then head around the walkway to find another long building with a skeleton warrior protecting it. You’ll find an open window here that you can jump in that will allow you to drop down onto a chandelier with the Academy Key. Once you have the key you can easily fast travel back to the Church of Irith. Talk to Thops and he’ll be happy that you’ve given him the key. He’ll head back to the Academy at that point. From there, if you want the rewards from this quest you can simply fast travel to the Schoolhouse Classroom. Backtrack towards the large water wheel and you’ll be able to snag Thops’ goods. Of course, if you manage to anger Thops you’ll need to get absolution with Celestial Dew. This includes Thops’s Bell Bearing, an Academy Glintstone Staff, and Thops’s Barrier. And that’s all you need to know to complete Thops’s quest in Elden Ring to get these powerful items.

There will be numerous dialogue lines that must be advanced to ultimately get Roderika to take up Spirit Tuning and allow you to use her services. Once she is available to do so, she will be found in the Roundtable Hold and simply talking to her and selecting the Spirit Tuning option will allow you to spend these items on upgrades. Of course, you’ll need both the Ghost and Grave Glovewort as well as Runes to upgrade your Spirit Ashes. The higher you level the Spirit Ash summons the more rare the type of Glovewort you will need as well as the need for more runes. A good point of reference is if you can make it to the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace, but the spot you’re looking for will naturally be just before you find this Site of Grace. However, unlocking the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace will give you an easy path back to the boss fight in case you should die.
How to find the Secret Dragon boss in Elden Ring
From the Beside the Great Bridge Site of Grace you can simply head back down the elevator, back past the handful of enemies that you encountered on your way to the site of grace, but instead of heading back down the ramp to where the birds and dragon were initially, you will drop off the ledge into a series of rocks. Make your way down the rocky path to a series of floating platforms. In the middle of this main platform is an option to interact that says “Lie Down”. Once you lie down you will be transported to the boss fight. If you’re still having trouble the video above should give you a precise picture of where you need to go. The Dragonlord Placidusax fight is a tough one. We recommend using the Mimic Tear if you’re having problems because regardless of your level this boss hits hard and has a variety of melee and elemental attacks. The reward for beating Placidusax is the Remembrance of the Dragonlord and a whopping 280000 Runes. ]]>How to Get Blaidd’s Armor and Sword in Elden Ring
Getting Blaidd’s Armor and Royal Greatsword in Elden Ring is no easy task, but a multi-step task that’s going to require a ton of exploration into places you may or may not have already been. You’re going to need to complete the majority of Ranni’s questline to even get the opportunity to fight Blaidd. In this guide we’re not going to go over every step in Ranni’s questline, but you can check out this guide to Ranni’s Quest in Elden Ring for more details on what you need to do specifically. Referencing that guide above, once you get to Step 9 and complete this part of the quest you can then head back to Ranni’s Rise. In front of which, Blaidd will be knelt in front of looking extremely troubled. Upon approaching him he will attack you and the battle will commence. Once you defeat Blaidd he will drop his armor and Royal Greatsword. Blaidd is a tough combatant, but depending on how high level you are he shouldn’t be much of a problem for you. If you’re looking for the complete set with the mask you’ll need to pick that up in this area as well. And that’s all you need to know about getting Blaidd’s Armor and Royal Greatsword in Elden Ring. These armor pieces and sword are quite good as you progress towards the end game in Elden Ring so if you’ve already started some of Ranni’s quest, this is a nice reward for completing it all.
How to Get Golden Order Principia
While you might just want to forge ahead, as you come to the area in the image above where you see the chair hanging from the ceiling you’re going to want to head out of the door due north, but instead of following the path you’re going to want to hook and immediate left. From here you’ll drop down on the rooftop and then head up to the windows of the building and hop in. You’ll find tree branch that was blocking your way in the other room now available to climb. Walk up the branch towards the item and once you get close you can simply grab it and it’s yours for the taking. The item is the Golden Order Principia and it can be given to Cleric to learn new Incantations. At this stage in the game, it’s an important magic book to have so you might as well take a moment to track it down. In this same area you will find the Erdtree Bow in a treasure chest in the other direction. This path also opens up a path to get back to the First Elden Lord boss chamber which will allow you to navigate Leyndell a little easier. That’s everything you need to know about getting this slightly hidden item in Elden Ring. ]]>How to Remove Fia’s HP Debuff
First let’s check to make sure you have the debuff. If you have the Red Square under your stat bars at the top of the screen you’ve likely hugged Fia. She’s given you an item that will temporarily boost your poise, but the tradeoff is that you have less HP. That debuff is 5% of your total health. To remove this you’ll need to use the blessing item that Fia gave you. This is called Baldachin’s Blessing and it can be found in the Tools section of your inventory. Using the item will give you a temporary boost in the poise category but then this will wear off. As soon as it wears off, which is very quick, you will see that the red square has disappeared and you will be back to a normal status in terms of HP. If you want another Baldachin Blessing you can simply head back to Fia and get another hug. That’s everything you need to know about removing the HP Debuff that Fia’s Hug puts on your character.
]]>The Basics of Bows and Crossbows in Elden Ring
In order to use the bow or crossbow in Elden Ring you need to have the item equipped, obviously. And this can be in your left or right hand as your primary or secondary item. If you are using a bow you will not be able to use any of your secondary weapons like shields in between attacks, however with the crossbow shields are a bit easier to use. For either of these items you need to also have bolts, arrows, or great arrows equipped as well so that you have something to shoot. Assuming that you’ve got all this down: You can shoot the bow, great bow, or crossbow just like you’re using any other weapon. You can either manually aim a shot (which is hard) or you can lock on to the target and the shot will track the target.
How to Aim with Bow and Crossbow
To manually aim you simply press the LB button / L1 Button. This will bring up a crosshair that you can use to line-up your shots. Since this item will effectively take the place of your shield or second weapon you actually use that button to aim the bow. On PC, you simply equip the bow that you want to aim with and Right Click to use two hands on the bow, and then right click again to bring up the aiming reticle. ]]>How to Get the Haligdrake Talisman Stranded Graveyard Treasure
If you’re looking for an answer and you haven’t yet made your way out into the world, you’re going to have to wait a bit and come back for this treasure. The one thing you’re going to need to get this treasure is your horse Torrent as you’ll need to make your way to a back entrance to the Stranded Graveyard in order to get the treasure. 
To get here you’re going to want to head to the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace and then due west of the spawn point you’re going to want to head off the ledge where you can drop down. There are multiple platforms alongside the cliffside that will allow you to reach the bottom. In the Northwest corner of that beach area you will find the back entrance to the cave. The cave is narrow with the only objective in there being the ability to pick up the Haligdrake Talisman.
What is the Haligdrake Talisman
Like other Talismans, your character can equip these items for different stats buffs, boosts, and damage reduction features. The Haligdrake Talisman in particular boosts your damage negation to holy effects.
]]>Where to Get Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone Elden Ring
This crafting stone can be found nearest the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace. This area is guarded by numerous deadly bird type enemies and a large dragon. You’ll need to make your way past the birds and past the dragon to a covered area that is behind the dragon. In the middle of this covered area is an item that can be picked up and it’s the Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone Location
If you’ve made it to the site of grace you can opt to run directly to this stone without the need to fight at all. Once you have the stone in hand you can return to the Blacksmith in Roundtable Hold who will have new dialogue for you regarding the “God Slaying Armament.” Upgrading your weapon to +10 will give you the “God Slaying Armament” Achievement as well as you’ve successfully maxed out a weapon. That’s all you need to know about leveling up a weapon to +10 in Elden Ring and procuring the Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
How to Beat the Godskin Duo (Melee Solo)
If you’re a melee character, the Godskin Duo is going to be a tough boss fight. Both enemies are incredibly fast, despite their appearances both enemies can kill you and constantly attack in tandem. The key to beating this boss as a melee character is to use the barriers in the room to your advantage to split up the duo and get your shots in while the other can’t hit you. Each of the bosses will transition to a second form when you get them down to around half health. If you kill one of the duo, you can fight the other one solo, but only for a short window at which point they will spawn again. YOU CANNOT, kill them in one round if you get both to zero. You have to take down the entire life bar of the boss to win the fight. However, there are some ways to do this more easily. In this fight, as a melee character you’re going to want to be blocking more than rolling, and always trying to position the two where you can see both of them. While this will prove to be a tough task, you most certainly should try to pick up on the audio queues. Each of the duo has a holy fireball that they’ll throw at you, and you can always hear it coming. The tall guy’s fireball is slightly faster than the big guy. When you hear the audio queue you’ll want to be dodging as if the fireball hits you it’s instant damage. The big guy also has a thrusting attack which can hit you from distance, but it also has an audio queue that can help you get out of the way or block the attack. The good part about this fight is that you can block almost all of the hits from the duo, but they are relentless and will quickly drop even high level character’s stamina, stun you, and most certainly kill you at that point. Back to getting them down to each half health. Choose to isolate one of these bosses at a time, you’ll want to get one of them down to half health and the other to almost half health. You can do either but we generally chose to get the tall guy down to half health first. Once they transition you will have new attack patterns to worry about. Both will do an AOE attack when they transition so while they are stationary the most you should try to get in is a hit or two and be ready to dodge the explosive attack. Regardless of who you get to half health first, they’ll most likely start knocking down the cover that was keeping you alive previously.
Tall Guy Second Phase
The Tall Guy in the second phase has numerous attacks to deal with that are different than before. He has two powerful magic attacks, one which has area of effect and the other where he’ll twirl around aflame. If you can decipher which one is the area of effect attack and which one is the twirling melee, you can roll in on the twirling melee attack and get at least a hit or two in on him. That is of course, if the big guy isn’t prepping an attack of his own. This fight is all about taking what they will give you and not just trying to hit them everytime there’s a perceived opening because those openings close quickly. Tall Guy has two other melee attacks, one where he’ll spin his sickle and the second is a looping circle of a melee attack. Both of these can be dodged quite easily. If it’s the spinning sickle attack roll towards the boss and through the spinning attack. If the big guy isn’t waiting with a fireball or thurst, take the opening and go for two attacks. Same goes for the looping attack. These attacks are his most common in this stage so if the big guy isn’t within distance or isn’t winding up a fireball attack make sure to get your hits in. Make sure to be blocking once you get inside for the quick counters he has and wait for the next opening. These special attacks are peppered in with his standard attacks, so anything you could hit him with in the first stage you can basically do the same in the second, the easiest openings are rolling towards him when he jumps or use the sickle to pull you towards him. Taking advantage of the attack patterns it shouldn’t take long to get him down to zero health. After he disappears you’ll have the big guy all to yourself. Since you’ve already got him down to half health, a hit or two should send him into his second phase as well.
Big Guy Second Phase
The second phase of the Big Guy is going to have one key thing you need to remember and that’s if he starts rolling you need to get behind cover or behind what used to be cover. The rolling attack that he’ll do will almost always be stopped by the monuments if you can get the proper spacing before the attack. He’ll continually roll into the base of the statues and you can likely get a couple of hits in by standing on top of the rubble. Aside from that he has a large area of effect attack and a very fast thrusting attack, both of which are easily avoided. While in the first phase it’s pretty easy to get in close on the big guy, he’ll do an AOE attack in the second phase if you’re too close, so it’s one hit and back off if he’s doing anything but rolling in phase two. However, if you are fighting him alone as the Tall Guy is gone at the moment, you won’t have long to fight him before he pauses to call his buddy back. When he does, Attack! This window will allow you to take him down a lot of health in a short period of time. You can get 4 hits at least in if you start hitting him as soon as he starts the call. Both characters will raise their hands over their heads to call the other back, at which point they will spawn in at what seems to be a random area. You can take the big guy down in this window if you’re fast. If you do, you’ll be back to square one with the duo. Likely without the cover that you had before. But the attack patterns are exactly as they were when you started the fight. Telegraphed fireballs and nothing too crazy. At that point it’s simply about repeating the process, but without the cover you had at the start of the fight. With no cover, it’s easiest to take advantage of two attacks and look for an opening. The Tall Guy’s jumping attacks, roll in and get a hit or two and then back off to get them down to half health OR the thrust for the big guy. Either way, this second form encounter should be a little tougher with no cover, but everything roughly works the same way. Upon killing one of them, you’re going to want to really press in the window where you have one of them isolated and that should put an end to the Godskin Duo.
How to get the Drake Knight Armor
The Drake Knight Armor is in a treasure chest tucked away in the Crumbling Farum Azula. You’ll need to have beaten the Godskin Duo and then progress to the next Site of Grace. When you get to the area with the hawks (birds) attacking you, you will find that there’s an elevator lift but no switch. You cannot make the jump down below, but when you make your way to the ledge of the building with the ladder when you get to the bottom instead of going straight towards the dragon, go the other way and jump down and go around the side of the building (which houses the lift). In a ornamental treasure chest you will find the Drake Knight Armor. This set will include the Armor, Helm, Gauntlets, and Greaves. If you’ve been completing a lot of the side quests you may already have better armor in Elden Ring. If you’ve picked up the Scaled Armor Set or the Twin Armor Set you might be better off with those, but if not, this should certainly buff your defenses in this tough area.
]]>Where to Get the Lantern in Elden Ring
The Lantern can be purchased from a vendor in Liurnia of the Lakes. The Nomadic Merchant at the Liurnia Lake Shore Site of Grace holds the Lantern which can be purchased for 1800 Runes. To get to this point in the game you will need to have progressed past the Godrick Boss Fight which will open up this path into a new area in the world. This Site of Grace should be one of the first that you encounter. If you don’t have the runes when you meet them the first time, we suggest doing a little farming in the area to get this key item. While it’s not quite as bright as the torch, the lantern will do a sufficient job in lighting up darker areas in the game.
How to use the Lantern
The Lantern is used like other items in the game and must be equipped. Head into the Equipment Menu and then once you have the Lantern add it to your quick item list. Once in the list you can then back out of the menu. You can then select the lantern item by using down on the d-pad and using it by pressing the Square/X button. ]]>How to Beat Rennala
The boss fight with Rennala has two stages. The first stage is relatively easy, while the second stage is a little bit more difficult. Let’s break it down into the two parts.
Rennala Stage 1
The first part of the battle with Rennala has you entering the library in the Raya Lucaria area passing through the mist doors. You’ll immediately be greeted by a room that looks to be filled with enemies. Every enemy in the room will be hostile and Rennala won’t be able to be hit. What you need to do in the first section is look for the students on the ground and attack the one with the gold glowing aura around them. The student with the aura will be attacking you by throwing books at you via magic spell. You should be able to identify these pretty easily and get to them and take them out with ease. The area is large, so if you can’t see them immediately you’ll want to look in the back, behind the pillars and if you’ve got surround sound you’ll hear a singing voice in the direction of the student you need to hit. Depending on your damage output you can do this in as little as two rounds. Once you take out the first three students, Rennala will fall to the ground and she will not be able to attack you. While she is vulnerable hit her as many times as possible before her shield goes back up. Once it does, three more students will need to be slain in order to disable Rennala again. Repeat this until Rennala is at half health. At this point the fight will transition to a new area.
Rennala Stage 2
In Stage 2 of the Rennala fight you’re going to want to keep the pressure on her. Dodging the magic attacks that she throws at you while also avoiding the minions that she summons along the way. You might need to get a bit lucky, because the minions that she summons can feel quite random and some are stronger or faster than others.

And that’s all you need to know about beating Rennala in Elden Ring. The tactics above are certainly going to work in part one of the fight, but the second part can be a bit of trial and error. Make sure to learn the timings of the magic attacks and the queues for when minions are summoned and this fight should be a bit easier.
]]>What Does the Larval Tear Do
The Larval Tear is a consumable item that is used by the Witch Rennala to “grant rebirth” according to the item’s description. What this means in the game is that once you’ve defeated Renalla you can give her a Larval Tear to respec your character. Once you’ve defeated the Witch Rennala she will become an NPC that allows you to both change your character appearance and redistribute your purchased ability points.
Where to Get the Larval Tear
There are numerous places to get the Larval Tear in Elden Ring. In this guide we’ll give you two quick places that you can get two of them before heading off to fight Rennala.
Kill the Shapeshifting Crayfish
In the wetlands near the Fallen Ruins of the Lake you’ll find another Larval Tear but this one is a little harder to get than the one below: From the Site of Grace here, look North East and surrounding a shrine in the middle of the water you’ll find three giant crayfish that lay dormant until you approach them. Nearby is another crayfish stalking around. Engage the one that is already moving while trying not to disturb the others. Take it down to zero health and it will shift into a new enemy. Defeat this enemy and get the Larval Tear.
Find the Village of the Albinaurics
The Village of the Albinaurics is hidden in the cavern under the big rock formation in Liurnia. Using the map it’ll be hard to find, but head to the location on the map above and stay in the swamps and look for the ramp that will lead you up to the village. There are a bunch of small enemies and a mini-boss to contend with. The Larval Tear is yours for the taking. There are other Larval Tears in Elden Ring. How to Open the Divine Tower in Limgrave and Activate Godrick’s Rune
The route to the Divine Tower of Limgrave in actually within Stormveil Castle where you defeated Godrick. To get to the Tower you will need to take a portal from the castle to the tower bridge. For the purpose of this guide we’re going to explain how to get back to this area by backtracking from the Godrick boss fight. You’ll need to head back to the areas that you just fought though to make it to the castle gates. Hopefully you unlocked the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace while making your way to Godrick in the first place. This one was near the ogre and open area with many soldiers. Backtrack past the ogre in the courtyard area and instead of heading due south which would’ve been the way you approached this area the first time, instead go left (east) and head down the stairs toward the main courtyard and Stormveil Castle Gate. At the bottom of the stairs you’ll come to another open area with a ton of guards as well as a Vanguard Lion. At the bottom of those stairs hook a left and head through the main door past the lion.
How to Open the Divine Tower of Limgrave Path
The easiest way to do this is to try and run past these enemies but it’s also a good opportunity to collect runes so choose to approach it how you wish. Once you get to the room with the knight statues kneeling you should be safe if noone is on your tail. Keep heading straight and you will be at the Limgrave Tower Bridge. Rest at the Site of Grace and then head onward to the tower. You’re not quite out of the clear yet, the long stretch is a straight run to a teleporter that will actually take you to the tower. You’ll need to make your way past three giants: Two wielding axes and one with a bow and arrow. The easiest way to get past these three is to run straight ahead until you see the teleporter and then use it to go to the tower. If you choose to fight, you will be in for a fight because the ranged giant (closest to the teleporter) is going to be able to hit you while you’re fighting the first and second giants. If you chose not to fight, and you took the teleporter you are in the clear and you are now at the Divine Tower of Limgrave. You are in the clear for the time being. Head up the lift and activate Godrick’s Rune.
]]>How to Level up in Elden Ring
Leveling up in Elden Ring is going to be locked until you’ve met a character named Melina. She will introduce you to the larger story behind Elden Ring and give you the ability to level up whenever you visit a Site of Grace. In a basic playthrough where you don’t do much exploring in the early part of the game Melina should introduce herself to you by the time you make it to your third or fourth Site of Grace. The easiest way to get her to appear is by following the order below:
- After leaving the Cave of Knowledge Make Your Way to the Church of Ellah.
- Make Your Way North Through the Forest to the Gatefront Ruins Site of Grace.
- When You Rest at this Site of Grace Melina Will Introduce Herself and give you the ability to level up.
At this point Melina will give you the option to level up your character and increase your stats. At this point Melina will also give you the Spectral Steed Whistle which allows you to summon your horse, Torrent. Once you’re able to level up, you can then choose to spend the runes you collect on a variety of different attribute points. Depending on the character build you are going for you can choose to spend those points in many ways: Here’s a short breakdown on what each attribute point does:
- VIG – Vigor – Increase HP
- MND – Mind – Increase FP
- END – Endurance – Increase Stamina Bar and Equip Load
- STR – Strength – Increases Damage and Ability to Use Strength Weapons
- DEX – Dexterity – Damage modifier to dexterity weapons
- INT – Intelligence – Damage modifier for sorcery and incantations
- FTH – Faith – Damage modifier and usage requirement for sorcery and incantations
- ARC – Arcane – Damage modifier and usage requirement for specific sorcery and incantations
And that’s all you need to know about leveling up and increasing your stats in Elden Ring. Once you’ve locked in these choices you’ll be tied to them when levelling up your character so choose wisely. You will be able to respec your character in Elden Ring at a later point in the game.
]]>How to Remove Poison in Elden Ring
The main item you’re going to need to have is plenty of Neutralizing Boluses when fighting poisonous enemies. If you’re fighting poison spewing enemies, you’ll see a meter in the enter of the screen that will up green. Once the meter gets full you will see a message that you’ve been poisoned. Once you’re poisoned you will continue to lose health little by little unless you either heal yourself, at which point you will continue to lose health until the poison meter has run its course. However, if you take a Neutralizing Boluses item you will alleviate the poison status. So how do you get these items? There’s a couple of ways that you can get it. You can find them out in the world as treasure, you can purchase this item from a vendor, or you can craft the item yourself.
How to Craft the Neutralizing Boluses
Head into the Item Crafting menu and it’s one of the first items you should see. Here are the ingredients to craft the Neutralizing Boluses:
- Herba – Can be Found in Thickets
- Cave Moss – Gives off a pale light in Dark Caves
- Great Dragonfly Head – Found by killing large Dragonflies
Your ability to craft items is directly tied to owning the “Crafting Kit” which can be purchased from the merchant Kale at the Church of Ellah. After you have the Crafting Kit, you should be collecting the many different types of cookbooks that the game has to offer. Some of the first ones you can get are by visiting the Church of Ellah and talking to Kale again for the Armorer’s Cookbook.
]]>How to Use Gestures in Elden Ring
The Gesture feature in Elden Ring is accessed from a menu in game depending or through motion controls (PlayStation). If you’re playing on the Xbox or PC with a controller you’ll need to press the Options/Menu Button. This will open a main menu with a list of items on the left hand side. On the right you will find a number of different gestures in the right hand side of the screen. To access your gestures you will simply hover the one you want to use and the press the A/Cross Button to perform the gesture in game. The PlayStation version has a similar feature, but a unique one as well that allows you to use motion controls. You can activate gestures with a motion control gesture. Simply hold the Triangle button and then tilt your controller in the correct direction to make your character perform a gesture. You can see the associated motion controls for each gesture in the menu.
Switching Gestures in Elden Ring
Gestures can be changed much in the same manner that you use them, but instead of pressing the USE button you would select the Switch Button (Y/Triangle). This will bring up a menu of all the gestures that you’ve collected in the game. That’s all there is to know about gestures in Elden Ring and how to use them. ]]>Map Fragment Locations in Elden Ring
Map Fragments are going to be required if you want to fill in the blanks in the land of Elden Ring. Until they are found you won’t be able to get a lay of the land and see any unique locations. However, there’s a neat little trick to finding these map fragments pretty easily. Anytime the map is blanked out, simply look for the obelisk icon on the map. It looks like a tower (Image Below) Set a waypoint on these locations and make your way their to procure the map fragment for each locale. 
What are Map Fragments
Map Fragments are items that you collect in Elden Ring which basically fill in the blanks of the map. Once you find the map fragment you will be able to use the map of the area to look for possible points of interest. Map Fragments are always located a the foot of these statues shown in the image above. Be warned, more often than not these map fragment locations are guarded by enemies but if you’re quick you can get in and get out without the need to fight. Usually, these obelisks are located on a path as seen in the image above. You might need to do a little bit of blind exploring to find them but as you do explore the grey fog will be replaced with the brown rough layout of the area. Zoom in on the map and you should easily be able to see which direction to head to find the map fragment which will put a lot more detail on the map.
