Seluvis’s secret room can be found beneath some illusory flooring in between Renna and Ranni’s Rise in the Three Sisters section of Caria Manor. Attacking the pavement in question will open up access to players, letting them travel downward into the basement.
Players will know they are at the correct location of Seluvis’s secret room if they’ve spotted aristocrats wielding staffs nearby. They are not exactly difficult enemies, and appearing in an area that is mostly void of enemies serves more as a tell as opposed to being obstacles in the player’s way. I found it easy to defeat these enemies with a few swings of my sword.
Check out the image below for the exact location of Seluvis’s basement.
Make sure to avoid the giant dragon in the area unless you dare to fight it. I made the mistake of getting too close and having to start over from the last Site of Grace after dying.
After venturing into Seluvis’s secret room, players should immediately be able to ascertain why exactly it is that Seluvis has entrusted them with the duties of delivering potions to other individuals and the potential consequence of such deeds. Littered about the grounds of Seluvis’s basement are motionless husks of test subjects Seluvis has conducted experimented upon. This matter is only made more apparent by the illusionary wall at the end of Seluvis’s secret room, depicting the outcome of the player’s decision regarding their potion delivery quest.
Now that players are made aware of the goings-on beneath the ground of the Three Sisters, they’re free to use that knowledge as leverage. Head into Seluvis’s Rise and converse with Seluvis; a new dialogue option should have opened up that would allow players to inquire why Seluvis’s secret room even exists. Seluvis, upon hearing such inquiries, will scold the player for their breach of personal privacy but will acquiesce to the player’s demands for a puppet if asked.
Seluvis will give players the option to pick from his collection freely. The choices available include Finger Maiden Therolina Puppet, Jarwight Puppet, and Dolores the Sleeping Arrow Puppet. I recommend picking Jarwight Puppet, which I found to be the strongest out of the options.
Players don’t have to contemplate their choices too much if they’ve collected starlight shards during their exploration of the Lands Between, since the remaining puppets will be made available to the player later down the line, with starlight shards being the trading currency.
It is important to note that this opportunity to confront Seluvis about his puppet room will become void after substantial progression is made through Ranni’s storyline. If the player’s already acquired the secret treasure of Nokron as Ranni desired, Seluvis will be found dead at his tower, with his corpse lootable for the Preceptor Set and his Bell Bearing containing the sorceries you’ve yet to purchase. After the fact, his corpse can still be interacted with as a way for players to obtain puppets, again, using starlight shards. Players should also check up on Pidia, as there’s some event that’s also occurred on his end.
Aside from Seluvis’s shop and secret shop, players can also find the following items:
Here are the tables with items you can buy from Seluvis’s shop and his secret shop:
Item | Type | Requirements | Price |
---|---|---|---|
Carian Phalanx | Sorceries | None | 12000 runes |
Carian Retaliation | Sorceries | None | 9000 runes |

Dung Eater Puppet | Ashes | Give Seluvis’s Potion to Dung Eater | 5 Starlight Shards |
Preceptor Seluvis is a mysterious figure in Elden Ring, serving Ranni the Witch. Although this sorcerer will help you by providing Ashes and Sorceries, he is anything but thrilled by his mistress’s decision to enlist “a Tarnished like you”.
]]>The release date of Alhaitham is scheduled for January 18, 2023 so this means that you won’t have to wait too long before you’re taking advantage of everything that the new character offers. There was a Character Teaser trailer released for Alhaitham which digs into more of their lore and values. The character seems to be heavily invested in books, nature, and writing. It is clear that Alhaitham looks set to be a very people-orientated character.
Fans also were praising the overall aesthetics of the trailer and mentioning about how incredible the animations were for people watching. It indicates yet again as with other characters that a great level of care and attention has been given to developing the character.
Alhaitham is a Dendro element character so fans of the element will be overjoyed knowing that they get another character who wields the element. From one of the other trailers, it could also be seen that Alhaitham is wielding a sword and has been designated as a five-star character.
Now that you know all of the main information for Alhaitham, you can happily get back to learning where to find all of the Yaoyao Ascension materials before the character releases and you likely spend a lot of time with them.
Genshin Impact is available at this very moment on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android, and PC.
]]> To acquire the achievements, players must have ten Mural, split into pairs at five different locations. The collection needs to be done during the night as otherwise, the murals will remain elusive and impossible to interact with even if the player has spotted their presence. The murals have the same appearance, resembling pyramids folding into one another in a triangular shape. They will also have a blue outline around them. Here is a map outlining all locations where the murals can be discovered. It is necessary to note that all five locations are not necessarily immediately accessible to the player if they’ve just started exploring the desert region of Sumeru, if the location has yet to appear for the player, they will have to progress the Golden Slumber questline until they’re allowed access to the ruins or premises that house these murals. With that said, here are some instructions on how to reach every mural location.
Location | How to Reach |
---|---|
Garden of Endless Pillars Domain | Teleport or move to the Domain, the murals are just slightly to the west on two sides of some shattered walls. |
Khaj-Nisut | May require players to finish or progress to the last part of the Golden Slumber Quest Series, Dreams Beneath the Searing Sands. Head southeast to the sands beneath the now floating chambers of Khaj-Nisut. Players will find a collapsed structure with an obelisk on top, with murals beneath, on the walls. |
North East of Sobek Oasis | Use the closest teleporter waypoint and approach the large obelisk next to a body of/dried-up water. Players will find the murals on the northern walls of the structure. |
The Dune of Elusion | Teleport to the Dune of Elusion Teleporter Waypoint and head west, the murals will be on the walls just outside an entrance heading downward, near some supporting pillars. |
North West of The Dune of Magma | Teleport to the Dune of Magma and head North West until you reach the ruins in question. Players will find the murals on either side of the walls next to the open/closed entrance leading into the chambers. |
Every pair of murals collected at one location will grant the player a chest upon defeating the enemies spawned. The achievement will pop as soon as the player has gotten all ten murals. More achievement hunting is available if the player’s interested in such endeavors. Though here’s hoping that the player’s journey across the desert will prove less perilous as they discover more mechanics and unlock more tombs. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]> To get the achievement, players will need to unlock access to one particular ruin located in the Land of Upper Setekh, south of the Sobek Oasis. The easiest way to reach the location is to head southwest starting from Aaru Village, following the path, and staying on elevated grounds. Here is a path using the mini-map that also marks out the location of the ruins. Players will know if they are at the right ruins if there is a device right in front of the entrance that inquires the player regarding a password. There will be Eremite mercenaries nearby who aren’t immediately hostile but has an alert bar that steadily goes up if they notice the player’s presence. Don’t attack any mercenaries and look for an Eremite woman, she will be patrolling the paths near the ruins muttering to herself anxiously. Stealthily follow her without attracting any enemy attention and listen in on her monologue, she will eventually divulge two passwords to the ruins you are trying to unlock nearby, get to the device in front of the ruins, and speak the correct one. Upon doing so, the doors to the ruins will open, granting players access to treasures inside while also triggering the achievement What’s the Password? Here is a basic summary of the steps that need to be followed:
Run away if you’ve accidentally aggroed the patrolling eremite or her allies. In the instance where you’ve killed her, you’ll have to wait until she respawns before attempting the achievement again. You’ll hear some amusing dialogue from her colleague when you’ve made your way into the ruins, wondering how you’ve gotten ahold of the password. An obelisk can be found in the inner corridors that ask for clearance level, which requires the player to do the Golden Slumber questline series, so keep a note of the obelisk’s location if you haven’t done the world quest yet. Other places of interest besides these Eremite-occupied ruins can be excavated while journeying through the desert, like a set of abandoned tunnels found beneath a now-forgotten hospital. Players will uncover the veils surrounding these deserts and tombs procedurally as they tackle the world quests of the region. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>First and foremost, Harbor is an agent of the controller role that packs a considerate amount of abilities in his kit that is dedicated to preventing enemy vision and protecting allies from enemy assault in selected areas. From looking at the gameplay trailer and PBE footage that are already publicly accessible, it is possible to get a general idea as to how the character operates and what each of his abilities does.
His kit paints a picture of a character that will prohibit vision using walls, while also using his grenade to either secure important choke points or bomb plants. His ultimate reckoning will likely serve the purpose of either pressuring the enemy into repositioning upon invading a site or to fend and pick off attackers in a re-take by locking mobility down with the repeated geyser strikes.
We know that the character hails from the land of India, but it isn’t yet exactly clear how he came into contact with Brimstone and why he has deigned to join the ranks of Valorant. Some assumptions can be made as to this being an effort on his part for self-preservation after obtaining a relic that has granted him the ability to control and bend water. More information will likely have to wait until the character officially hits the live servers, supposedly on October 18, 2022. Valorant is available now on PC.
]]>Simply put, the game will separate the damage scaling on weapons, skills, spells, and incantations for PvP and PvE from patch 1.07 onward. Making it so players using the same build will be at different power levels depending on whether or not they are engaging another hostile player in combat, or if they are fighting against a boss by themselves or with a friend. This feature will likely allow developers to tweak parameters without making it difficult for players dealing with tough boss battles using tailored or overpowered builds in single or coop play. Arguably, this should come as a beneficial change overall as this will diversify Player/AI difficulty for experienced veterans active in Elden Ring, and keep difficulty consistent for newcomers and returning players who might have struggled as a result of the numerous balance patches that have maintained power balance for the PvP sphere, at the potential expense of PvE cheese and voiding existing boss fight strategies. Other changes of interest that apply to the general environment include buffs to colossal weapon attack speeds while nerfing crouch poke and rolling recovery attacks. Accompanying that is a general increase in the poise value that most armor pieces will provide to players, which might not lead to hyper armor, but helps to provide more value to heavy armor sets that exist in-game. It is interesting to note that the majority of spells and incantations seen in the balance list are seeing buffs, with only a select few receiving rebalances or nerfs. The same can be said for Weapon Skills and Ashes of War. Hopefully, these changes will lead to more build diversity across the board for PvE and PvP players, and fewer community disagreements regarding how the balancing of the game should be handled and whether the game should cater to player duelists or RPG enthusiasts. Players should check the official patch notes for a detailed list of the changes implemented. Elden Ring is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
]]>The three Amiibo for Splatoon 3 announced in the official teaser are now confirmed to release on November 11, 2022. Either as a three-pack or individually depending on the interest of the player as to the Amiibo or the gears offered by each figure. The three Amiibo in question to curious players are Octoling (Blue), Inkling (Yellow), and Smallfry. Though not officially announced, it is possible to discern which Amiibo corresponds with which set of gear that’s unlocked by looking at the official Amiibo trailer.
The above bullet points provide a summary but it is best to look at the actual video itself if the player wants an exact image of each gear set’s appearance. There is no current information regarding whether or not the clothing will have differences depending on the player character’s gender or species of choice, and what Main Abilities each gear will have. But considering that changing Main Abilities are now possible, ensuring that they’re competitively viable shouldn’t be a concern for players willing to grind ability chunks.
Currently, no online retailers seem to be offering pre-orders for the Splatoon 3 Amiibo in the US aside from Best Buy, which is selling the Amiibo individually. Each has a price tag of 15.99 US dollars attached. Players can likely expect the official pre-ordering avenue from Nintendo to open up soon in the States. The pre-order page for the triple pack is already available on the Australian My Nintendo Store site, retailing for 69.95 Australian Dollars, which roughly translates to around 45 US dollars. Use the above individual and triple-pack selling price as a reference point for when pre-orders are available in your country. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>It takes 5 years or 15,600 coins to buy all new nonseasonal Kiriko unlocks
byu/Autumn_hi inOverwatch
Putting aside the potential grind required for obtaining her, for people not looking to watch streams on Twitch. Getting cosmetics for the character might prove more difficult than they’d imagine. As a recent Overwatch 2, subreddit post has tallied the amount of currency that’s required for unlocking every Kiriko cosmetic, and it takes 15600 coins, which is the equivalent of 5 years in terms of work. Overwatch 2 having gotten rid of the prior loot box system has either placed cosmetic rewards into the battle pass, via directly priced bundles or from the player providing a sufficient amount of exchange currency. The currency, aside from being purchasable with real money, is earned via daily or weekly challenges in the game. Meaning that the amount of coins that can be obtained per week is limited and finite. Kiriko being a new character means that she has few cosmetics in the first place, the fact that it could take up to 5 years worth of grinding to obtain all her current skins and accessories casts a somewhat concerning cloud as to how friendly the game is towards free to play players in terms of feeling rewarded for their time spent in the game or those with the interest of collecting every possible unlockable for the heroes they are partial to. The slow speed at which a hero skin can be obtained in-game is compounded by the lack of any progression-based rewards in the game except in the instance where the user has purchased the premium battle pass, where unlocks aren’t restricted to free level-up rewards. Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
]]> Going by the official Hoyoverse interactive map, 67 Kalpalata Lotus can be acquired in the Sumeru rainforest region on a two-three day basis. These Lotuses generally sprout near cliff edges or can be found dangling from selective long extended tree branches. Here is a general overlay of the locations where they can be discovered in the world of Teyvat using the interactive map: Considering the extensive amounts of isolated clusters of Kalpalata Lotuses that can be discovered across the entirety of Sumeru’s rainforest, it is perhaps advisable for players that aren’t in dire need of the material to instead limit their gathering process to the areas closer to teleport waypoints and omit materials of singular numbers. With that taken into account, here are all the relevant areas highlighted using the in-game map as a guide:
Use the teleporters circled in conjunction with the interactive map to create a farming process that’ll net the player around 30-40 Kalpalata Lotus without the need for excessive traveling. In the instance where a player has Tighnari on hand, the passive that he has displays Sumeru specialties on the map, making nailing down the locations of every Kalpalata Lotus encircled within those perimeters much easier.
Another avenue of obtaining Kalpalata Lotus should be noted if a player has unlocked Vanarana, as it contains a merchant that sells 5 Kalpalata Lotus every week. Start from the Vanarana Statue of the Seven and head south, following the dirt path that leads up a hill and then down. When the player reaches an intersection, turn left heading east where the player will eventually find themselves in a cave, continue on the path until you reach a pond where you’ll encounter Aramani, who will sell you Lotuses provided that you’ve concluded the Utsuva Festival for the Aranyaka questlines. The above information should cover all of the consistent methods and avenues that can be employed to farm Kalpalata Lotus efficiently. If the player looks to speed up such a process, the remaining options are going to all of the Kalpalata Lotus spawn points and visiting other players’ worlds asking for theirs. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
If contemporary player feedback is to be taken into account, however, concerns about getting good teammates right now probably lesser than the grievances regarding fair individual evaluation. Players that have undergone placement matches for the ranking system in Overwatch 2 have all seemingly pointed to the low importance that is placed on winning streaks or good performances. With previously above-average players allegedly finding themselves now placing in low bronze or silvers. This sub-standard average that players seem to be receiving comes as a bit of a concern to the general competitive player base for Overwatch. As previously confirmed by the official AMA, players that have played past titles will not have their MMRs reset. Meaning that players despite having to start once more from placement matches in terms of determining a new competitive rank are fighting enemies of about the same strength as themselves. Victories achieved under such conditions, especially winning streaks feel hollow by the low ranks attributed at the end of the struggle. There are speculations as to why the weighting system operates in this current manner, some players assume it to be due to the lack of a new rating curve due to overwatch 2 being a game with mixed audiences, consisting of new and old players, while others argue that this is Blizzard’s way of increasing player activity, as placing players in ranks lower than previously allocated will motivate them towards climbing back up to the usual ranks they are placed in the original game. Here’s hoping that such a process will be marred by as few technical errors as possible on the game’s end. Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
]]>Junkerqueen skins are all low-effort, even the legendaries are just different colors of the same outfit.
byu/CatPoopWeiner424 inOverwatch
Players, however, do take issue with the lack of innovation or creativity that has gone into exploring the thematics of the character further, as the premium skin that she has thus far, especially legendaries, has proven to be largely reskinned. On the Overwatch 2 subreddit, people gathered in critiquing the lack of effort that has gone into Junker Queen’s skins. Comments on the matter generally discuss the disparity between the price of these skins as opposed to their design cost, which as a legendary can prove expensive, and lacking the details to differentiate them from Epic Skins. It’s difficult not to see where players are coming from as both Circuit Breaker and Wastelander resemble the original default costume quite heavily, only switching certain armor pieces and being painted a different color. When compared to some of the efforts that have gone into older legendary skins from Overwatch 2 that launched with each hero, it doesn’t paint a favorable picture as to the amount of effort that has gone into Junker Queen and the developer’s intent at giving her the design diversity that comes from spending a premium on legendary skins. Arguably, this critique comes as more damning when combined with the rewards of the Season 1 Battle Pass, which gave both Sojourn and Kiriko legendary skins but instead saddled Junker Queen with the short end of the straw, where she only gets an epic-tiered skin instead. Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
]]>The player base affected in question has chosen to play Overwatch 2 on Xbox consoles. TrueAchievements, a website/forum for achievement hunters to congregate and share guides in regards to earning gamerscores, has noted numerous reports, where players face a greater likelihood of disconnects after earning achievements in Overwatch 2. Some of the observations that it has recorded seem to indicate that players will crash out of their game as soon as an achievement pop up on the UI, leading the player to once again queue up from the Overwatch start screen if they intend to play more. There has been no recommended fix for this issue as of currently, with the site presuming the issue to be due to the server’s stability issues as of late surrounding the Blizzard Hero Shooter. The issue has been noted by Blizzard as it continues to aggregate the numerous issues that its players have faced on its official forums while working on solutions gradually. The only silver lining or dilemma for people interested in achievements, in this case, is perhaps that Overwatch 2 has the same list of achievements as the ones used by the Original Overwatch, albeit with revisions or additions. Meaning that players that have completed the original achievement list for Overwatch 1 wouldn’t have to grind through past achievements again, but will have to live with an incomplete list now that new achievements are being added to the Overwatch compilation as a whole. Until this bug is fixed, however, it is unlikely that chasing achievements is going to prove therapeutic. Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
]]>Except for new heroes introduced in Overwatch 2 like Kiriko, all of the old returning rosters of characters have had their fair share of skin releases that is related to seasonal or commemorative occasions, due to this, even just a list of all the legendary skins that exist in Overwatch 2 will prove to be lengthy. The best way would be to outline a list grouped by hero roles, with attackers split into two tables. With that said, players are free to Ctrl+F their way through the legendary skin tables for Overwatch 2 below.

Cyber Demon is excluded from this list due to being a mythic tiered skin, a skin of higher rarity rewarded to the player for the completion of the Season 1 Battle Pass. Skins tied to the Overwatch League (OWLs) could also be missing from the general list that players will find in the skin section for each hero, with some OWL skins viewable only after being obtained. Use the lists above as a starting reference for the number of legendary skins that exist in Overwatch 2, as its numbers will only increase as Blizzard starts heading down their Roadmap for Overwatch 2. Overwatch 2 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
]]>As written in the official article regarding the topic, there are 18 Tera Types. Meaning that every previous type of Pokemon element is an available Tera Type that Pokemons can Terastallize into in the Paldea Region. For new players unfamiliar with all the Pokemon types that exist in the series thus far, they are the following:
Normal | Fighting | Flying | Poison | Ground | Rock |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Bug | Ghost | Steel | Fire | Water | Grass |
Electric | Psychic | Ice | Dragon | Dark | Fairy |
Terastallizing looks to be an important aspect of Scarlet and Violet in terms of Pokemon battling. It gives players the affordance to change the typing of their Pokemon in battle, to boost the power of corresponding type moves, or to remove type weakness from their Pokemon when a super effective attack is heading their way. The mechanic is reminiscent of Pokemon abilities like Libero or Protean, where Pokemons change their type depending on the typing of the moves they’ve used. It is said that individual members of a Pokemon species could possess different Tera Types, making for greater uniqueness among same-species Pokemon in the region and the boons they provide in battles against hostile Pokemon and potential villains. The caveat of the system is that like past power-up mechanics the function can only be used once per battle. Some distinctions of the system that are good to point out, however, include the Terastallizing being a process that lasts until the battle is over, while also granting a more powerful boost than a usual STAB move if the Tera type plus one of the Pokemon’s original type is the same. Making Pokemon with the same original typing as their Tera-type non-redundant in battle scenarios, but instead, specialized mono-type focused attackers. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are set to release on November 18, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>Canis Majoris is a full-fledged Witcher game, separate to the new Witcher saga starting with Polaris. It will be developed by an external studio headed by experienced developers who have worked on past Witcher games. pic.twitter.com/ucy7T073tm
— CD PROJEKT RED (@CDPROJEKTRED) October 4, 2022
One could argue from those indicators that Canis Majoris will not necessarily be a PC or console game, but instead, a branch-out title for the Witcher series that targets different player demographics on different platforms like mobile. It’s been years since CD Projekt Red tapped into the considerable acclaim and recognition that they have achieved via the series of games that they’ve created in the Witcher universe, aside from the occasional mentions of next-gen ports for the Witcher 3, the company has stayed relatively silent in terms of their commitment towards an expansive project that would take the IP further. Here’s hoping that Canis Majoris turns out to be a proper side title that will enhance and accommodate the experience that the in-house dev team is expected to provide by the once disgruntled fanbase caused by the problematic launch of their previous game release, Cyberpunk 2077. Project Canis Majoris is now in development.
]]> The Red Desert Threshold is located to the west of Aaru Village, a desert settlement that players would have likely stumbled upon as they made their way out of the rain forest, to the south of Caravan Ribat in search of the closest Statue of Seven. At first glance, the domain’s location might seem apparent as it is just to the side of the path leading westward. Upon closer examination, however, the player might notice that it is deep underground, with no noticeable caverns or passages leading down to where it’s situated. The reason’s due to the domain being a part of a world quest that needs to be accepted first before the nearby geography changes to grant players the affordance of reaching and unlocking the Domain. When first entering Aaru village, players will notice several NPCs indicated with a blue exclamation mark, signifying their role as a quest giver. Find a man named Bonifaz standing out in the open areas of the village to start the world quest Golden Slumber. He will send you to investigate what happened to a missing archaeology team. Follow the quest tracker and the player will eventually find themselves in front of a cave-in that the expedition team is speculated to have fallen into, inside the hole is also where the player can discover the Red Desert Threshold Domain. Players don’t have to complete the world quest to be granted access to the domain, they can simply glide down and interact with it to unlock it as a point for teleportation. Considering that the world quest continues deeper underground, it might be fair to suggest that the domain also serves as a good waypoint for players to teleport to if they aren’t intent on completing the world quest for the time being. There are other hidden domains like this one tucked away in the corners of the Sumeru Rainforest, if the player has yet to uncover them and has the intention of being thorough. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
Candace is similar to a compatriot of the same element, Yelan — Candace’s character kit scales entirely on HP. Different from Yelan, however, is her lacking capabilities in performing as a damage healer. This lack in damage relegates her to the support position, where the players switch into her occasionally to block with her shield, and mainly to boost team damage with her elemental burst. The stats that a player would want on Candace are thus down to just HP%, flat HP, and Energy Recharge. HP to increase her scaling, and Energy recharge to ensure that the character is always capable of triggering her elemental burst whenever it’s off cooldown.
The limited number of stats that she wants as a character helps to narrow down the selection of weapons that would be fitting for her to use, and they are as the following:
Five-Star | Four-Star | Honorable Mention |
---|---|---|
Skyward Spine | The Catch | Black Tassel |
Engulfing Lightning | Favonius Spear |
The secondary stats for Skyward Spine and Engulfing Lightning should be self-explanatory as to why they’d be viable options. Both boost energy recharge quite considerably. The same can be said for The Catch and Favonius Spear, with The Catch helping to augment Candace’s elemental burst damage even further. If players want to run the Favonius Spear, they will have to deal with the unfortunate caveat that is needing crit rate to reliably trigger energy particle passive. Due to the lowered priority of wanting damage for Candace, The Black Tassel will be a surprisingly solid option for players that have artifact pieces with good energy recharge sub-stats that already ensures Candace’s energy recharge. Engulfing Lightning is currently not available due to being a limited weapon, while The Catch is going to require some extent of fishing to refine and obtain.
Due to the selective main stats and sub-stats that Candace wants on her artifact set, the options that the players can pick from are convenient, albeit limited:
Aside from if the player’s equipped her with the Black Tassel, players might be able to get away with using HP% sands if they are using any of the other weapon options, alongside decent sub-stats in terms of energy recharge. The artifact set options are more diverse, all centering around giving her Elemental Burst more power, securing the energy for her Elemental Burst, or providing team utility whenever possible while she uses her burst:
Four Piece | Two Piece |
---|---|
Noblesse Oblige | Emblem of Severed Fate/Tenacity of the Millelith |
Emblem of Severed Fate | Emblem of Severed Fate/Noblesse Oblige |
Noblesse Oblige/Tenacity of the Millelith |
Noblesse is always a good idea to consider if the player doesn’t have another Noblesse 4-piece user on the team. Due to the frequency at which Candace will trigger her ultimate, the attack buffs from the set should prove consistent. On the other hand, it might be possible to make an argument that the two-piece mixed option of Emblem and Tenacity will prove more favorable compared to the Emblem four-piece set, due to the character’s interest in having the right stats to boost her teammates, and less so in boosting the damage of her Elemental Burst itself.
Due to playing the role of a support, it is difficult to recommend building a team centered around the character. Instead, it would be preferable to use Candace as a piece for completing other team compositions. Her elemental burst is made for boosting Normal Attack damage and as such works the best with damage dealers focused on Normal attacking. Being a hydro character also means that she’ll naturally slot better into teams with other hydro characters, serving as a battery while securing Hydro resonance.
Damage Dealer | Synergizes With | General Utility |
---|---|---|
Ayato/Yoimiya | Xingqiu | Zhongli/Kokomi |
Razor | Rosaria/Kaeya | Bennett |
Depending on whether the player is running a hydro, electro, or cryo-based team composition. Whether to slot in Candace will depend on the roster of characters that a player has at their disposal. Take the above information into account if you want to use Candace in your teams, though to do that at full efficiency will require finding some Redcrests first as she needs them for her ascension. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>REDmod is a bundle of tools provided by the developers of Cyberpunk 2077 in an official capacity that aims to help users install mods and help modders create new mods via using the assets that comes with the assistive plug-in that the bundle contains. The methods for enabling REDmod may vary slightly depending on the launcher the player is using to open Cyberpunk 2077. The steps shouldn’t differ too much as the player will have to initiate the built-in CD Projekt Red launcher before they enter the game. The general steps are as the following:
Make sure that Cyberpunk and its launchers are closed across the entire process. If done successfully, the next time a player opens Cyberpunk 2077, they should notice a cog beside the play button with a toggle button for enabling mods, giving players the freedom to activate or disable mods that use the REDmod framework.
There are no integrated platforms for all the mods that can be installed into Cyberpunk 2077 the likes of Steam Workshop. The developer themselves recommend using Nexus Mods to acquire mods that the players are intrigued by. Follow the instructions of the mod creator on the mod page and install the mods for your game accordingly. For modders looking to take advantage of the assets that REDmod has to offer, download the REDmod plugin on the official REDmod website. Install the plugin and use it in conjunction with modding tools like Wolvenkit. Tutorials are hosted regarding the REDmod tools on official media accounts and forums, and will likely cover in depth what the plugin can be used for and the scope of its usage. The best of luck to chooms looking to cyber out their gaming experience in Night City — just be aware of mod glitches less you find yourself a completely different person. ]]>Blood Transfusions exist for the sake of resuscitating players that have become unconscious as a result of blood loss. The blood needs to be given from a blood bag IV, and the treatment is only effective should the blood type of the donor prove compatible with the blood type of the recipient. Upon being afflicted with certain status or injuries, the player character will suffer a case of blood loss. Characters start with an amount of 5000 blood, and should the amount of blood drop below the 2500 threshold, the character will start going into shock, damaging them continuously until they fall unconscious, where they will remain in such states until they die or until they are provided a form of recovery. This is where blood transfusions become a matter of importance. Willing players with a blood bag kit can empty some of their blood into the bag, and combine it with an IV start kit to make a blood bag IV that can be used to rescue other players that have fallen into such problematic states.
Blood cannot be given freely from one player to another, as their blood types have to be compatible. When a player character first spawns into the game world, they are randomly assigned a blood type and a player can be made aware of their blood type via using a blood testing kit, where the blood type of the character will then remain displayed on a player’s HUD. Giving incompatible blood to ailing players only serves to worsen their condition, putting them into Hemolytic Reaction where they will once again fall unconscious and start severely losing blood. As such, it is important to know what blood can be given to whom, and here is a table illustrating compatibility and what to look out for:
Donor | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Recipient | O- | O+ | A- | A+ | B- | B+ | AB- | AB+ |
O- | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
O+ | Compatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
A- | Compatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
A+ | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
B- | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
B+ | Compatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Incompatible |
AB- | Compatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Incompatible | Compatible | Incompatible |
AB+ | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible | Compatible |
It first needs to be stated the minus blood types can transfer blood to both minus/plus blood types, while plus blood types are only suitable for being given to other plus blood types. So pay attention to the symbol beside the blood type. With the above conditions in mind, the general rule is that O blood types tend to serve as a good source for blood donations, while AB blood types are compatible with any blood types they receive. Keep a chart of a similar nature handy whenever you or your cooperators require a blood transfusion, though, in the instance where blood type can’t be tested beforehand, players will need to decide if they are willing at chancing a blood transfusion that could lead to more unconsciousness and blood loss. DayZ is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS5, and PC.
]]>The DMZ mode, now confirmed to be a part of Warzone 2 is an extraction-based mode that pits players against each other and AI opponents on a large map where scavenging for supplies and completing objectives is the key to survival and success. DMZ will release alongside Warzone 2 on November 16, as confirmed by the Call of Duty Next stream hosted on September 15. Due to being a part of Warzone 2, which is a free-to-play experience, players won’t have to purchase Modern Warfare 2 if they just want to play the mode in particular, though it is necessary to keep in mind that the two games will have their similarities due to likely sharing a graphical engine, character assets, and selective gameplay mechanics.
Reliable Information regarding the mode is limited from an official standpoint. The developers claim that it is a passion project made by Infinity Ward centered around players choosing their experiences in a Warzone. Some general ideas and concepts can be grasped, or assumed from what was discussed, however. The map that the mode is confirmed to play on is Al Mazrah, which features a desert landscape that includes several points of interest, ranging from fortresses to hydroelectric dams. The gameplay loop will likely play similarly to Escape from Tarkov, where scavenged or purchased equipment carries over from one DMZ session to another. Meaning that players will gradually expand their loadout as they play the mode while increasing the cost of dying where the player stands to lose their gear. Expanding upon the Escape from Tarkov influence. One can assume that players will be required to complete certain objectives before being given the affordance to leave the map and into safety, leaving players to plan a route across the map from the starting point to the objective and then the extraction point. Alongside, players could run into AI opponents that have garrisoned themselves in certain parts of the map, making them obstacles or opportunities depending on whether the player is scavenging for supplies, or making a run across a populated area of the map. It is said that information surrounding the mode will remain scarce until the release of Warzone 2. So unless a Beta was to come out for Warzone, just like how it was for Modern Warfare 2, this might be the extent of information available regarding DMZ until the mode arrives. Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is set to release on November 16, 2022, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X|S, Playstation 5, and PC.
]]>There have been no official announcements regarding the new release date for the title ever since the public announcement by the developers for the unfortunate delay. Meaning that the release date is still within the range of the spring of 2023. The date estimate is consistent throughout every media channel that Rocksteady and the Suicide Squad game holds a presence on, ranging from official websites to YouTube and Twitter. The announcement is still pinned to this day.

As such, aside from keeping a closer eye as to when the game will arrive when 2023 comes along on the title’s relevant media channels, there’s not much to be done other than to remain patient for its arrival. It’s difficult to say why news surrounding the game has proven silent in the past months. One could assume the delay and the extra efforts taken surrounding the game to be the result of not wanting to repeat the mistakes of Batman Arkham Knight when it launched on PC several years ago, but at this point, the correct answer is anyone’s guess due to a lack of information. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to release in the Spring of 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5, and PC.
]]>As can be seen in an article posted on September 30 on Blizzard’s official website for WoW Dragonflight, the expansion will drop on November 28. This marks the ninth expansion to date for World of Warcraft. The central theme of the expansion is as the name would imply, the awakening of the lands where dragons used to dwell and bringing the feature of ridable dragons to Allies and Horde players alike. The narrative plot points surrounding this expansion are yet unclear, except for the claims the introductory cinematic for a new age of dragons to commence on the Dragon Isles that will serve as the new map and area that players will be given the affordances to navigate across. That and perhaps the appearance of Alexstrasza, the dragon queen, seeing as she featured rather noticeably in the promotional materials for the Dragonflight expansion.

— World of Warcraft (@Warcraft) September 29, 2022
As for the gameplay, the expansion’s main draw is the Dragon Isles, which feature four distinct zones designed with the motifs of different Dragon Aspects in mind. The expansion will also feature a new hero class Evoker that comes in a combined package with the new playable dragon race, Dracthyr, the Dracthyr Evoker being a form-shifting class that plays either the role of a DPS or healer. Other things include updates to existing classes with the return of talent trees, eight dungeons included within the expansion, and a raid schedule to commence on December 13 after the release of Dragonflight. To usher towards these contents that will feature, a 50% experience boost will be put in place for players between player levels 10-59 starting October 4 to incentivize returning players to catch up on existing content before the new expansion release. Just like the Alpha that came before it, players who are interested in the expansion should keep an eye out for Beta Key giveaways announced by official avenues on the World of Warcraft website. World of Warcraft Dragonflight is set to release on November 28.
]]>Cyno being an on-field Electro DPS wants stats similar to characters that play the role of a damage dealer. Crit Rate, Crit Damage, and the corresponding Elemental Damage Bonus. Cyno differs slightly from the stereotypical DPS as he also scales off of Elemental Mastery, which is converted into additional normal attack damage, higher passive damage, and doing what Elemental Mastery is good at, boosting the damage of Elemental reactions. This gives him leeway in terms of sub-stats, with players being given the option to either round up their Cyno’s stats with either Attack% or Elemental Mastery. Due to being a character that is reliant on having constant access to his elemental burst, which costs 80 energy, having some energy recharge is also of benefits.
With the above stats in mind, some of the weapons that should be considered for Cyno are as follows:
Five-Star | Four-Star |
---|---|
Staff of the Scarlet Sands | Moonpiercer |
Primordial Jade Winged-Spear | The Catch |
Skyward Spine | Missive Windspear |
Staff of the Scarlet Sands is easily the best-in-slot weapon for Cyno if the players have gotten lucky with their pulls in the current ongoing limited weapon banner, providing crit rate, elemental mastery, and additional attack%, putting this difficult-to-acquire option aside, however, players can also consider running Jade Winged-Spear or Skyward Spine on Cyno as they provide crit rate alongside boosts in attack% (Jade Winged-Spear) or energy recharge (Skyward Spine). Some Budget weapon options include the likes of Moonpiercer, The Catch, and the Missive Windspear. both the Moonpiercer and the Missive Windspear provide elemental mastery while also having certain parts of their passive locked behind doing Elemental Reactions, which Cyno teams tend to gravitate toward. Meanwhile, The Catch provides unconditional damage number boosts doesn’t cover all the bases that Cyno requires, giving only energy recharge and additional damage for his elemental burst. The issue here is that all three weapons will require some effort to acquire, The Catch is a weapon that is exchanged for at the Inazuma Fishing guild, and the Moonpiercer is available for crafting after obtaining its blueprint from helping the Aranaras. While the Missive Windspear is a reward for completing the currently ran Of Ballads and Brews Event.
The Main stats and sub-stats should follow the previously mentioned arrangement, with some potential arrangements like the ones written below:
As for artifact sets, two sets prove generally competitive on the character. Thundering Fury and Gilded Dreams. The former focuses on buffing the damage numbers for elemental reactions and shortening his skill cooldowns during his burst, while the latter increases elemental mastery the more elemental reaction is triggered, giving attack% on the side. With that said, here are some artifact setups.
Four-Piece | Two Piece/Two Piece |
---|---|
Thundering Fury | Thundering Fury|Gilded Dreams/Wanderer’s Troupe |
Gilded Dreams | Thundering Fury|Gladiator’s Finale/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence/Echoes of an offering |
Gladiator’s Finale (if no better options) | Gilded Dreams/Wanderer’s Troupe | Gladiator’s Finale/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence/Echoes of an offering |
Aggravate plays a huge part in ensuring Cyno’s damage output, and this necessitates the presence of a Dendro teammate on Cyno’s team. It is advisable to also bring a character that is capable of providing electro particles as Cyno might not be capable of regenerating all the energy that he requires to use his ult again after it expires. A shielder or a healer is also good to consider for added survivability or increased resistance to enemy interruptions. What kind of team is capable of being run with Cyno depends on the character roster that a player has at their disposal, but some characters that’ll prove beneficial to consider include:
Elemental Reactions | Battery | General Utility |
---|---|---|
Dendro Traveler | Raiden Shogun | Zhongli |
Collei | Fischl/Kuki Shinobu | Albedo/Bennett |
Take the above information into account and players should have a better image of what Cyno wants out of his equipment and the aid that he requires from his teammates. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>Due to being a hyper carry, Cyno’s kit is maximized when a player has him on the field continuously during a combat scenario. This means that how willing a player is at investing in Cyno determines whether or not he’ll prove to be a valuable prospect during Spiral Abyss runs or high difficulty content. The other issue that being a hyper carry poses is the fact that Cyno’s team composition will prove to be relatively rigid, utilizing supports capable of benefiting his kit and desired elemental reactions. The above two factors largely determine the merits of adding Cyno to a player’s roster of characters.
Cyno is similar to Xiao in terms of mechanics, a previously released Anemo polearm character. Players make the most of a hyper carry’s kit by spending the entirety of their elemental burst duration doing damage with them on the field. This form of playstyle means that buffs and support abilities are used first before swapping to the damage dealer, who will then do all the damage during an enemy encounter. The role that hyper-carry plays runs contrary to the idea of swapping teammates in and out when required, instead demanding heavy investment in a single damage dealer to achieve results. Cyno is capable of dealing sufficient to above-average damage with the right teammates, grinded-out artifact sets, and a suitable weapon at his disposal. The question is whether or not a player has the resource or interest in giving Cyno the spotlight in the center stage, ending battles.
As an Electro on-field DPS, Cyno stands the most to gain from the presence of Dendro teammates. The introduction of Aggravate, the Electro Dendro reaction, proves to be a considerable boost of damage to any electro-focused team, and Cyno is no exception. The character with his additional scaling in elemental mastery benefits in particular from the inclusion of Dendro characters, as they help to accentuate such numbers. One issue with this requirement is the lack of dedicated Dendro support at this current point in time, despite this dilemma being largely offset by the free options available in the form of Dendro Traveler and Collei. Players wanting to push Cyno to greater heights might have to consider the necessity of obtaining future Dendro characters, five-star supports in particular, and it’s difficult to recommend making such acquisitions considering the monetary cost that this could entail. Players need to weigh the up and downs of Cyno as a teammate. If they do end up pulling for him, it is advised for players to make haste in terms of unlocking the desert region and nabbing scarabs, as the ascension material is required in bountiful numbers. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>In Valorant, players aren’t given access to ranked mode until they reached player level 20, this is to ensure that players had sufficient time to familiarise themselves with the maps and the agents, the default roster, and the unlockables. After being granted access, players commence their ranking ladder climb by playing placement matches to decide the initial rank. Rank resets whenever a new act arrives, with players needing to play five placement matches per new Episode, and one placement match for Act 2 and Act 3 of the corresponding Episode.
An Episode is essentially a large-scale content update cycle in Valorant over six months, while Acts are smaller-scaled updates contained within an Episode, each lasting around two months. This should help put these terms into context.
Nine ranks exist in Valorant Ranking System, each containing three tiers. In the worst-case scenario, players will find themselves in an arduous climb starting from the bottom of Iron until they make it to the highest rank of Radiant, a representation of what those ranks are and how they are ordered can be seen below: Rank decay does not occur within an Act, meaning that players are free to climb without the pressure of staying active or losing their highest earned rank during the period of an Act, this same system also applies to the higher tier of Immortal and Radiant, with the distinction of the player now featured in a leaderboard that they could be high or low in depending on performance and activity. Players who have played Valorant in its humble beginnings may find this order to be rather different from the ranks in the past, which makes it advisable for returning players to read through official Riot posts that discuss changes or adjustments made to the past ranking system and modes.
It might be interesting to note that players are not distributed evenly across the ranking ladder. The general expectation is for the system to play out in a pyramid fashion, with less and less percentage of players the higher their ranks go. Such is not quite the case for Valorant. Statistics surrounding the game are conducted by websites every month, and the general observation is that players tend to find themselves in the middle of the ladder. Such was the case for the Ranking distribution of Valorant players this September:
Iron | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond | Ascendant | Immortal | Radiant |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
6.3% | 17.5% | 22.9% | 21.1% | 16.2% | 10.1% | 4.3% | 1% | 0.03% |
Hopefully, the above point will provide a comprehensive outlook on how the Ranking system works in Valorant in recent times. Valorant is available now on PC.
]]>Genshin Impact Concert 2022 is set for October 2, at 12pm (UTC+8), posts regarding the event suggest it to be watchable on the usual media platforms that Genshin is affiliated with, which means interested players should be able to find a live stream on either YouTube or Twitch during the online concert. The official Genshin channel makes it a habit to keep a backlog of past video broadcasts, so players shouldn’t have to fret too much about missing content if they find themselves occupied on that day.
There are no specific mentions as to the participants that will be present during the Genshin Impact Concert, except for the statement of it being a collaborative effort with various musicians. Curiously enough, a Special Thanks section can be found at the bottom of the official concert webpage that seems to list out several music-affiliated associates, ranging from performers to composers and an orchestra, the list is as the following:
Shiro Sagisu | TRI4TH | FLOW | Arch Echo | BAND-MAID | ZAON | Hollywood Chamber Orchestra |
Eimear Noone | Angel Vivaldi | Takayoshi Ohmura | Yukie Nishimura | Tetsuji Hayashi | Emi Meyer |
This list could be entirely irrelevant to the musical guests that will feature, but if there will be compositions or music played by people of note during the concert, then this list is a good indicator of the possible assembly that could be invited to such an occasion.
Log in to the official concert webpage and scroll down to the Select Pass design section, players will find a button to the right that allows them to share the concert pass, doing so will enter them into a raffle to win exclusive merchandise based on the characters featured in the promotional artwork, but more assuredly, doing so grants 20000 Mora and 30 Primogems, which is sent instantly to the in-game mailbox. There’s no announcement regarding the concert stream itself bearing codes or rewards, so further detail will have to wait until the concert date draws closer. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]> Rank modes, otherwise known as Anarchy Battles, provide the player with an affordance of climbing up the letter ranks starting from C-, all the way up to number 50 of the S+ tier, starting from S+0. This will be different for players who’s previously dabbled with the ranking system of Splatoon 2 and has the save data to prove it, starting them off at rank B- if they’ve attained that rank or higher. Each rank is represented by a letter, separated into three different tiers except for S+ which expands into an individual system. They go in ascending order as follows:
C-, C, C+ | B-, B, B+ | A-, A, A+ | S-, S, S+0 to S+50 |
---|
Players will have to play a Rank-Up Battle when they’ve accumulated enough experience to climb up a rank. Players pay rank points to enter a series where the goal is to win 3 matches, if players lose 3 matches before they succeed at such endeavors, they’ll have to try again. In the instance where the players make it to the highly coveted and competitive ranks of S+, they enter a ladder of its own where they start from S+0, capping off their journey at S+50 if they’ve managed to conquer every obstacle and other ranking competitors along the way.
Specific details as to those differences can be found in this particular official Nintendo article, but to put it succinctly:
Anarchy Battle (Open): Players who are looking to play with friends can only do so in Anarchy Battle (Open), where they as a team (alongside matchmade players in the instance where the team isn’t entirely premade) tackle rank battles one at a time, earning or losing a set number of points based on wins or losses. Fixed points mean that Open battles are also good for solo players looking for quick competitive games of lower stakes. Anarchy Battle (Series): Anarchy Battle (Series) on the other hand is a gauntlet of ranked battles based on a 5-round format. The series continues until the player team has achieved 5 wins or accrued 3 losses, with each result putting an end to the series and giving players ranking points depending on performance and number of rounds won. Players need to pay ranking points first to enter a Series, making them higher stakes games with a higher payout if the player has confidence in their abilities. The soon-to-arrive Splatfest will come with its share of useful items and rewards that will benefit players in the long run, so don’t neglect Splatfests in favor of Anarchy Battles when they are present. They make for good opportunities to get cheap ability chunks by scrubbing them off Splatfest t-shirts and earning Sea Snails which can be used for re-rolling abilities or leveling rarity for gear of the player’s choosing. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.

Some have speculated as to this being the works of a Nintendo employee or insider, wanting to claim the name before it is taken by random internet denizens. One particular post in the subreddit points to the maker’s ambiguous past. The user is supposedly active in the subreddit for Seattle, where the headquarters for Nintendo of America is situated, and is named curiously enough after an old videogame, Milon’s Secret Castle. An old Nintendo title released back in 1986 following an uncommunicative protagonist saving citizens and the queen of a castle. The speculations were cut short following the maker’s deletion of their Reddit account but hasn’t completely stopped as a result of the factors that seemingly paint the claims of the subreddit name as more than just a coincidence. Companies might indeed have a financial incentive to grab the site names associated with their IPs first before they are held for ransom by online users, it is difficult to ascertain whether or not that was the case here looking at the course of events, which only serves to feed the intrigue surrounding the upcoming Zelda title. Assuming that the subreddit was indeed made by someone affiliated with Nintendo, then some official interactions with the community could happen later down the line of the game’s reveal, especially when a release date is in place. Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023.
]]>There are two variants of the Power Armor acquirable in the title, and both require the usage of Amiibo. Amiibo have been a staple in the Splatoon series as a way for players to get further functionalities. The particular Amiibo after being scanned in engages in small talk with the player and becomes available for photoshoot sessions in the city where the players can pose the Amiibo and their characters accordingly. But most enticing of all is the gear that they offer to you as presents, with each Amiibo having a corresponding series of gear. In this particular instance regarding power armor, there are two Amiibos to look out for. First is the purple Inkling squid Amiibo, who gives the player the Power Armor Mk I Set shown in the screenshot above after becoming acquainted with the player. The default Main Ability for the Power Armor Mk I are as follows:
Then there is the green Inkling squid Amiibo that grants the player access to the Power Armor Set after becoming more intimate with the player. This armor is different in terms of Main Ability and appearance, featuring bulky armor pieces that look less robotic and more plated in nature. The following are the default Main Ability for each piece:
For players having difficulties acquiring the armor set from the corresponding Amiibos after having scanned them into the game, they might have to play and win multiple rounds of Turf or Anarchy battles before they are given the next piece. Speak to the Amiibo ever so often to check if you’ve made progress towards completing the full set of power armor that you are attempting to acquire. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>Getting Hero Gear is simple but requires effort, as players need to complete Hero Mode (defeat the final boss) before they can receive a full set of replica clothing based on the Hero Suit, including the Hero Mindset Replica, Hero Suit Replica, and the Hero Boots Replica. In addition, players can get the Hero Shot Replica, a variant of the Splattershot that is identical in performance but different in aesthetics. The appearance of the Hero Suit Replica follows the earliest iteration in the story mode, while the player was still in Crater. The default Main Ability for those replica Hero Gears are as follows:
It is necessary to point out that the clothing worn by the current iteration of Agent 3 (player character in Splatoon 3) differs from the ones worn in the past. For players looking to obtain the retro design of the Hero Suit in past entries of Splatoon, namely Splatoon 1, they would need to acquire an Amiibo for Callie and scan her in, which will grant the Hero Headset, Jacket, and Runner Replicas. Here is the default Main Ability for those Amiibo gears:
For completionists looking to get more out of Splatoon 3’s Hero Mode, there remains the prospect of 100% surveying all sites and clearing every level. The former will give the players an array of different decorations for their locker along the way while the latter comes with the bonus of an additional level which upon completion grants some bear ears headband, which is quite the distinct set of headgear if players are up to the challenge of the final hidden level. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]> Intensify Action powers up two of the newly added actions, Squid Roll and Squid Surge, while giving players better shooting accuracy amid a jump. Squid Roll is a mobility action, that triggers when a player in squid form chooses to dodge to the side or backward from their current facing position, preserving the momentum they were previously traveling with during the process. The maneuver can be performed on the ground or while side jumping off a wall, assisting with dodging or shielding the player against enemy attacks due to the temporary ink shield the player gets while using it. As for Squid Surge, the action allows the player to launch up a wall in squid form. The additional jump height that the player gets from performing a squid surge can be enough to launch a player to the platform above, giving the player a vantage point that they wouldn’t have access to without having inked the walls entirely, or doing so in less time. Intensify Action allows Squid Roll to be performed one after the other without a loss of speed while also making Squid Surge charge quicker. Such benefits from the ability are meant to reward players with an interest in those new actions who are implementing them actively into their playstyle and weapon setups. The affordance provided by this ability might prove to be a boon to a player whose strategy is based entirely on quickly getting in and out, for example. Despite these new mechanics unlikely to come as second nature to new or returning players immediately, Intensify Action can be considered a useful ability for helping players get acquainted with the new movement options that are now introduced in Splatoon 3, they will also add to the diversifying ability setups that can be accomplished via gears while players are grinding out weapon freshness levels or ability chunks. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
The highest level that unlocks go to in Splatoon 3 is level 30 where players are granted access by Sheldon to purchase the Ballpoint Splatling using a Sheldon license. Beyond that, the player level doesn’t seem to serve other practical purposes in the game as of this point in time. As of right now, there are no official announcements or player posts indicating the final level cap in Splatoon 3. The level cap in Splatoon 1 was level 50, while the level cap in Splatoon 2 was level 99 after the post-launch 2.0.0 patch. In Splatoon 2, every level that a player achieves after level 30 is rewarded with a singular Super Sea Snail upon speaking with Judd, a rare resource acquirable generally via Splatfests that can be used to reroll ability slots or boost a gear’s star power. In this sense, leveling up in Splatoon 2 served as an alternative method for players to obtain Super Sea Snails and gave incentive for players to keep up the level grind for the sake of making the perfect gear. It’s hard to say whether or not Splatoon 3 operates on the same principle in terms of its leveling system, but players won’t find out until they get above level 30 to have a way of verifying whether or not the developers have altered the system in place, or if they remain consistent with their predecessor. Considering that rank battles and player levels go hand in hand, give it a few more weeks and the answer to this question should become clear. To the avid PVE fans, however, the level cap won’t matter all that much after they’ve gotten to level 4 and obtained access to Salmon Run. Gears and weapons are only matters of concern to the PVP portions of the game, where gear ability and weapon combinations become based on theory crafting and finding the best setup for the corresponding playstyle. Splatoon 3 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>Expand your Aionios journey with wave 2 of the #XenobladeChronicles3 DLC Expansion Pass! This new hero looks…mechanical? Complete her quest & she’ll join your party. Plus, earn special rewards & new outfits in tough Challenge Battles!
Wave 2 releases on #NintendoSwitch 10/13! pic.twitter.com/gEd6OzySrk
— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 13, 2022
Meanwhile, the Challenge Mode will see players tackling enemies in battles that consist of multiple waves of enemies in the hopes of earning rewards. Items of interest range from equipable accessories to different costumes for main characters in the player party. Of note is a screenshot showing the characters in summer swimwear, which seems to be already incentivizing players to chase after high-rank clears for the challenge battles that will come will the release of this mode. Both parts of Volume 2 of the Expansion Pass will arrive on October 13 and is a part of the Xenoblade 3 Expansion Pass as a whole, with no singular purchase alternatives in place. Because Volume 4 of the Expansion Pass is said to be an original story scenario, which is likely equatable to the extent of Torna The Golden Country or the very least, Future Connected, the pass itself should prove to be a fair purchase if the value of the entire package is measured. The only question left to fans of Xenoblade 3 is whether or not they’ll acquire the pass now to experience Volume 2 or wait until that scenario arrives. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is available now, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>Kokomi is a 5-star hydro catalyst user that functions mainly as a healer. She is very apt at her role due to her abilities being built entirely around the prospect of maintaining the hp of her and her teammates. This healing capability used to come at the expense of damage but has been remedied somewhat since the inception of the Ocean-Hued Clam artifact set, which converts excess heals to AOE damage. The fact that she is a catalyst also means that players have a greater variety of weapon choices to pick from, due to the many varieties of catalysts that exists in Genshin at this point. Other points to consider that make acquiring her a benefit include that she is relatively easy to build artifact-wise due to the limits on her damage. Players can stack HP% and Healing Bonus on her with the addition of Energy Recharge to make the most out of her character kit, shortening the time that it requires between obtaining her and grinding out the materials and artifacts that she needs to be able to function optimally in a team. To compound on top of that, she is a very reliable element enabler due to the consistency of her Elemental Skill at applying hydro to the enemies, her reliability makes her a good teammate in Cryo team compositions, where consistently keeping the enemies frozen is key to the team’s success.
The character hasn’t suffered any meta-shifting issues that would make her no longer viable or incapable of being in Cryo team comps, to look at from another perspective, however, the importance of getting her is lessened when the player doesn’t have the Cryo characters necessary to run a Cryo team. Similarly, the character wouldn’t factor into some of the new team compositions that are in place, including ones for Dendro like aggravate, an elemental reaction that largely entails solely using Dendro characters with Electro characters. From an overlapping standpoint, one can argue against getting her if the player has another capable healer or shielder that is keeping the player’s HP bar healthy. The intersection of roles isn’t helped by the list of characters set to arrive in the upcoming Sumeru content of patch 3.1, who will require just as much if not more Primogems to obtain from the Limited Character Banners. Ultimately, the deciding factor lies with whether the player needs her for the purposes she serves, and whether or not that opportunity cost is above the other characters set to release at a later date. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>From reading related information on the official website, the system looks to be an amalgamation of systems that Pokemon mainline titles have done in the past, and mechanics that have never seen implementation before. The Let’s Go system gives players the affordance to have one Pokemon following them at all times while traversing the open world of the Paldea region, which is similar to the partner/follower Pokemon function that has existed in past mainline games. In addition, players can press the let’s go button to send Pokemon out to explore on their own. The Pokemon is sent out in the direction that the player indicated and will start either searching for items or seeking battles with other Pokemon it encounters along the way. The player-owned pokemon is essentially run by AI when sent out using let’s go, gaining exp and earning items for the player while the player is doing other things on the map. It is necessary to note that this Let’s Go feature is of great importance while tackling the endless grunts of Team Star being sent the player’s way while attempting to take down villain bases. Auto Battle will speed up the rates at which the player is taking down hordes of enemy Pokemon. From the looks of it, this mechanic seems to allow multiple battles going on at the same time, with one battle controlled by the player, while others are taken care of by the Pokemon they’ve sent out via Let’s Go. At the end of the day, the feature will likely see the most use when players are attempting to grind out levels for new Pokemon they’ve acquired in the Paldea region, a more organic alternative to the experience share device from past titles. It will also be interesting to see how well the system would function in conjunction with the multiplayer system that will see implementation, as Let’s Go isn’t stated to be a function that is exclusive to single-player. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are set to release on the 18th of November, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]> Purportedly made up of some of the biggest rebels of the same school that the main protagonist hails from, Team Star is out to cause a public disturbance by intimidating other students to join their growing ranks. Whether they have an end goal, such as impeding the school projects the players are issued, or if they are just out to cause general mischief is yet unknown. What is known is the fact that they have numerous bases, each belonging to a different squad of Team Star. Players with the intent of toppling Team Star need to fight through waves after waves of grunts before they are allowed to challenge the squad leader, who will make an entrance on a vehicle referred to as the Starmobile. The Starmobile needs to be defeated alongside the pokemon sent out by the Squad leader in battle. One such squad leader that’s been revealed thus far is Mela, who runs the Fire crew of Team Star and seems to be a fire-type specialist based on the squad name and the pokemon that she uses during battle. It is possible to assume that other squads might follow suit and be based on pokemon typing just like hers. It is interesting to note that the official website has noted multiple times that the costumes of Team Star will differ depending on the version that players decided to acquire from Scarlet and Violet, adding to the diverging character and Pokemon differences between both versions of the game. Despite lacking the severity of some of the early generation teams of villains, something like the delinquent Team Star might be the most appropriate considering the setting of Scarlet and Violet in a school environment. It’ll be interesting to see the reveals for other squad leaders or the head of the organization in future trailers, and whether or not they’ll be accompanied by any pokemon unique to the new region. Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are set to release on the 18th of November, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
The Electro Regisvine is found in a cave accessible from outside paths leading inward. Starting from the Sumeru Statue of the Seven located in the Lokapala Jungle and following the path leading eastward, players will soon encounter an intersection with some sculpted constructions, with a faint path covered up top by mushrooms leading right into the caves. Follow that path and the players will soon find themselves in front of the Electro Regisvine. Before fighting the Electro Regisvine, activate the Teleport Waypoint nearby to spare doing the walk from the Statue of the Seven. The path leading into the cave and the map location for the entrance can be seen below:
Like all previously encountered Regisvines, defeating the Electro variant requires breaking its energy core using elements that it is weak against. These include attacks of the Pyro, Cryo, or Dendro elements. The Regisvine rotates its energy core back and forth between the corolla and its roots periodically, meaning that players will have to switch between melee and ranged characters to have the affordance of hitting the core at all times. Players should bring a team consisting of characters of such elements and a shielder to have the smoothest of experiences fighting the giant plant. Characters like Tighnari for example are particularly apt at the task of breaking the main core due to the numerous Dendro projectiles that follow his charge shots. A good team that comes to mind could include characters like Tighnari and Bennett, accompanied by a shielder like Zhongli or Diona. The remaining slot should go to the Main DPS belonging to the Pyro or Cryo element if possible, as Tighnari might not do enough damage by himself. The Regisvine mainly attacks by flailing its corolla about and slamming it into the ground, creating AOE shockwaves filled with electro energy. Players will need to dodge its attacks or bring a shielder to avoid being interrupted while attempting to break the energy core. A thing to watch out for is the stamen that it will drop on the ground from time to time, if two are on the field simultaneously, the Regisvine will cause the two stamen to magnetically collide with one another, creating a large explosion that does considerable damage while healing itself at the same time. If the explosion goes off, the Electro Regisvine will enter into an empowered state where its Core is closed off, also granting it additional attacks that it can use to devastate your team members. So keep an eye on those stamens and destroy them promptly using characters of the previously mentioned elements. Destroying the core will weaken the Regisvine considerably, lending players ample time to defeat the plant during its downtime. The Electro Regisvine will drop the following materials upon defeat:
Though no characters need Electro Regisvine materials just yet, future electro character releases belonging to the Sumeru region will likely do so, characters like Cyno for example. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
]]>DO NOT. REPEAT. DO NOT. SEARCH FOR SPLATOON 3 ON YOUTUBE. THE FIRST RESULT IS A SPOILER VIDEO.
byu/bennickss inSplatoon_3
Depending on what the initial cause of the leaks was, it might be necessary once again for Nintendo to take another glimpse at the security measures that it has in place. If the leaks came to be as a result of data breaches, then the company needs to address the loophole before leaks ramp up in intensity, like the Nintendo data leak of 2020. On the other hand, if this was the result of retailers breaking the embargo date and giving the game out earlier to select consumers, it is more than likely that the game files were extracted than decoded that way using existing physical copies. Regardless of what the reasons were, the average player is likely to suffer the repercussion of such leaks unless they exercise caution and stay away from places like YouTube, Twitter, and relevant subReddits where relevant leaks have been given time and room to circulate among interested gaming audiences. Splatoon 3 is set to release on the 9th of September, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
]]>The patch is set to release on the 15th of September across every region if the official announcements on social media platforms are to be believed. This means that the update will follow the conclusion of the currently ongoing event in Tower of Fantasy, The Road of Strife. No official patch notes have been released for the new update thus far, but it is fair to assume that maintenance will be done beforehand before the content is made available to players.
As for what the update itself will include, the Artificial Island will be the centerpiece of the entire update. The astute player will notice numerous hints in-game as to its existence, and it looks like players will be able to access the island following the new update’s arrival. Looking at the promotional video, players can see an island locale filled with set pieces ranging from a lake, and a circular coliseum, to a camp made out of a broken-down airship. The variety of enemies looks to be the same as the enemies that have been seen before in other locales. Aside from the distinction of one particular world boss, a cybernetic flying dragon that has only ever appeared in the Ruin D-03, discoverable in the realm of the Crown Mines. The Artificial Island will feature new activities involving a Home System, where players look to be able to build up facilities on the island and reap the benefits of those facilities that they’ve cultivated after spending time and effort.
Releasing also on the 15th of September is the character of Claudia, a limited SSR character purported to be a physical damage dealer. The release schedule of one Limited Banner after another may prove a dilemma for character collectors who have spent pulls on Nemesis or are accumulating dark crystals for Frigg. From a team composition standpoint, the character is unlikely to be paired up with either Nemesis or Frigg but will find herself a team member of Physical focused teams, ones with Shiro in them for example. So free-to-play or casual players shouldn’t feel pressured into pulling for her unless they have Shiro and want to run a complete Physical team comp. For the player with a sufficient number of Dark Crystals or Red Nucleus, Claudia is a potential option to consider. Tower of Fantasy is available now on PC, iOS, and Android.
Six regions need to be explored in total throughout the event, with three chests discoverable in each region. The six areas are Chatrakam Cave, Vissudha Field, Ardravi Valley (twice), Avidya Forest, and Apam Woods. The perimeters of the area that the player needs to explore are circled out on the map and what the player needs to do is to venture into such perimeters with the Treasure-Seeking Seelie equipped. The Seelie can be obtained from Ulman to the east of Sumeru City, after speaking with him and completing his event quest, Treasures Beneath the Vines. After entering the respective zones, start looking for blue orbs that dot the ground and air of the places you are exploring, they will be marked out on the mini-map and should prove distinct from nearby geography. They can be found mid-air or concealed among flowers and foliage. Use Sigils or Mushrooms to reach high-up places. Gather three orbs and a treasure challenge will spawn, indicated by a shovel icon appearing on the mini-map located in the top left corner of the HUD. Complete the challenge to dig out the treasure chest buried underneath. Generally, the content of the challenge consists of either an obstacle course or defeating a series of enemies. Players repeat the treasure hunting process two more times before they are done with one zone, leaving for the next area shown on the event screen. Note that three orbs must be found first for a challenge to spawn, so it’s easier for the player to follow the steps of the event instead of trying to find the treasure on its own. Each chest found awards 10 Primogems, the event currency Ancient Iron Coin alongside other materials like Hero’s Wits or Talent books. Now that the event has reached its last phase, it can be pretty safely concluded that it doesn’t seem to feature any hidden or extra areas that can be visited to acquire additional rewards. Ancient Iron Coin are spent in the event shop to obtain Primogems, Hero’s Wits, Mystic Enhancement Ores, Mora, and one out of five mini-Seelie companions that can accompany players on their journeys across the lands of Teyvat. This iteration of the Lost Riches is considerably simpler compared to past versions of the event, as long as players visit the corresponding areas, the icons on their mini-map should take care of the rest. Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
